As the Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator you will be responsible for planning, facilitating and reporting within the WSU Vancouver Office of Development and Alumni Relations. In this role, you support the Senior Director of Development who works with campus leaders, system leaders, volunteers and other development teams on philanthropic activities.
You will oversee department gift processing and stewardship and communicate with donors and alumni regarding current and potential gifts, endowment agreements, gift planning documents, non-cash gifts and other information, including confidential gift information under the direction of a development officer. You will also provide technical support to the development officers on gift processing, receipts, and acknowledgements.
The Development Coordinator is the main point of contact on funds involving donor gifts to ensure donor gift intent. You will also manage department scholarships and annual giving, including serving as the department contact for student fundraising.
The Development Coordinator independently plans and implements all aspects of departmental events and manages Marketing and Communications department projects. You will also provide oversight of day-to-day operations, including administrative functions for the WSU Vancouver Development and Alumni Relations office, as well as working closely with the Senior Director to coordinate workflow and handle special projects. You will exercise independent judgement in interpreting and applying the rules, policies and ethics of professional fundraising activities. At all times, this position must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This position works on-site on the WSU Vancouver campus. This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work assignments.
Monthly Salary: $4,050 - $ 5,829 | Grade 3 Zone 3 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments.
A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
