Description

The Greater Vancouver Chamber welcomes you to join us for International Women's Day!

This half-day virtual event features engaging talks and workshops that aim to promote the development of our future women leaders by giving them access to influential women in Southwest Washington.

The 2023 symposium will focus on leadership, personal brand, and career management. Professionals across industries and experience levels are welcome as we explore new perspectives, support each other, and learn together. The symposium wraps up with the annual Iris Award event, which honors and recognizes women of achievement for their outstanding contributions in our region.

Speakers

Keynote Speaker | Kim Boudreau | 8:15 AM

Tame Your Inner Critic, Liberate Your Authentic Voice

Kim Boudreau Smith is a master at showing women how to turn down the volume on their inner critic (or, as she lovingly refers to it, the “Hag in the Attic”) so they can accelerate their impact and leadership. She empowers women to speak boldly to fellow business leaders, staff, and clients so they can remove the “could-haves, should-haves, and would-haves” from their vocabulary, replace negative self-talk with confident and empowering language, and show up as their authentic selves at work.

Guest Speaker | Shae Frichette | 9:45 AM

Prior to starting Frichette Winery, Shae lead the Organizational Development Function for Stanley Black & Decker - HHI where she designed Leadership Development Programs for associations in four countries. Today, Shae is the head winemaker for Sashay and Assistant winemaker for Frichette Wines. Her experience and passion for leadership will offer a unique perspective as she shares her journey with us!

Guest Speaker | Michael Sherlock | 11 AM

Don’t be fooled by the name, the hair color, or crazy shoes. Michael Sherlock is serious about business. She is dedicated to creating positive, productive, and profitable workplaces, and helping individuals, and businesses unlock their ultimate potential.

Before launching her global training company, Shock Your Potential, Michael was Vice President of US Sales for two multi-national medical device companies, responsible for net revenue exceeding $75 million and as many as 500 employees at a time.
